Tarot Workshop Week 6
The class this week was on Saturday 2nd April as I was working at the lovely LAM event on Sunday. This week, Week 6, had the students reading for each other and me with 8 cards. The students are getting to be less nervous when reading for me and I remember how it was for me as a beginner, so the classes are also about confidence building. They are getting more relaxed when reading for each other, but using words carefully. We revised the numerology aspect, 1 card at a time and then then did 8 card readings for each other, with and without numerology. The court cards don’t have numbers, so they are just read as they are. So, from Week 2, let’s go over how the court card suits can or may, relate to star signs. Page, Knight, Queen and King. I suggest to exercise caution with this though, as I would hate anyone to lose an opportunity because they think the wrong sign is in front of them. So, just remember the following loosely, as you’ll also find that over time your intuition kicks in with these. You’ll also see more imagery ‘jumping at you’ from the cards, with the more readings you do.
Pentacles: Earth: Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo
Swords: Air: Aquarius, Gemini, Libra
Wands: Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Cups: Water: Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio
It’s also very important to say things in the right way. From my own experience, I had a Tarot reading in-between work appointments. Oh dear, it was absolute doom and gloom, and I got to my next appointment a white faced and nervous wreck. Choose your words gently and thoughtfully, even with the cards that have stringer imagery. There has to be respect from you as the reader to the receiver. Homework this week is to do readings with 8 cards, as many as possible, and I’ll see you next week.
