Tarot Workshop Week 4

This week, Week 4, we revised Week 3 which was to look through all of the cards and to see what meanings, instinct and feelings came through. The group also spoke about where any of them were feeling ‘stuck’ and talking it through. As we’re all individuals, we’re bound to have different thoughts and draw different meanings on our card spreads. After we spoke through all of that, more 6 card readings for each other and then reading for me. Students are often nervous when reading for me, so again,  the mantra I repeated that day and throughout the course is, the cards are always right … choosing the words to relay the information in a way the client can understand or relate to, can take time. Like The Fool, it’s a leap of faith.

We had a great day. The homework for the coming week is more 6 card spreads, so practise, practise. We’re all looking forward to next week when I’ll be introducing numerology into the mix. See you then.

Tarot Workshop Week 3

Tarot Workshop Week 3, for beginners, on Sunday 06 March 2016, time 1030am til 1230pm.  This 8 week workshop will enable you to read Tarot, and be able to work with the Tarot both for yourself and with others. This is an introduction to eager and willing students and will include inter-active sessions. If you are interested in attending, please let me know.

Week 1 covered the meaning of individual cards, the Court cards and the colours of the cards. We finished with my students reading 3 cards for each other, they did really  well.

In Week 2, we went over Week 1 homework, and I answered questions that arose. I’ve suggested students keep a Tarot Card book to record their progress, and remember any questions.

In Week 3, we had revision from both Week 1 and Week 2. It was lovely to hear anecdotes from each of the group who had done mini readings for their friends, with interesting results. I loved this as it reinforces confidence and helps to believe in the cards. The mantra I’ll be repeating throughout the course is, the cards are always right … choosing the words to relay the information in a way the client can understand, can take time. We read through the Minor Arcana. I shuffled all of the cards, picked 6 for each pupil and then the pupils read for me. Gosh, the nerves were as powerful as the energy in the room. There were a few stumbles which were to be expected but, I was pleased with the resulting readings.

The homework I set for this week was to go through all of the cards, and to see what they mean to the individual. It’s to see not only how you feel about the pictures on the cards but, to listen to your feelings and instinct and mix with the cards. Then, to do 6 card readings. Looking forward to next week.

London Alternative Market – Sunday 6 March 2016

I’m so looking forward to my fourth time working at LAM at the Revolution Bar in Leadenhall Street in the City of London this Sunday from 12 noon until 6pm. The other stallholders are very friendly, and I feel I’ve fitted in well in this diverse fashion and accessory event as the resident Tarot reader. The new customers are great and I’ve had returning customers also. The review I had from the author Tara Neale was wonderful. I look forward to another rewarding day. Come along and let me read for you after all, you know you want me to.

So, to review LAM on Sunday, Mother’s Day. It was a little quieter than usual…those lucky mums being wined and dined. As usual, great fellow traders and pulsing vibe throughout. Especially liked the chocolate brownie taster at the entrance – thanks girls. I had more returning clients with confirmation of previous readings I had given them. Don’t forget, I also Skype read, so distance and time isn’t a problem. Stay in touch, will update you later about my wonderful Tarot teaching class students and their progress.

Tarot Workshop Week 2

Tarot Workshop Week 2, for beginners, on Sunday 28 February 2016, time 1030am til 1230pm.

This week we will be connecting with cards as we go. We’ll speak about the Aces and the Court cards with more detail. Kings are always men, Queens are always women. If you get more than 1 Queen, for example, it can show different aspects of the same person. Knights are aspects of change, Pages are the beginning of changes. We’ll discuss Pentacles, Wands, Cups and Swords in detail, and how they may relate to an astrological sign. I will be asking my students to read another 3 cards, this time from the Major Arcana, Court cards and Aces.

London Alternative Market – Sunday 7 February 2016

The LAM event yesterday was just great, held on 5 floors with specialised fashion and accessories in the City of London. I had returning customers who also purchased a Gift Voucher from my blog: rosietarot.com, which has a shop with 4 gift choices. Please see the following testimonial which I was so very happy to receive today:

This is from Tara Neale, with her permission:

So yesterday at LAM (London Alternative Market), I did something that honestly I once laughed at. I got my first tarot reading by the amazing Rosie Tarot.

As I have been blogging about…I have begun a more spiritual path after a lifetime of being disappointed by religion, science, medicine, psychology and philosophy. But this was a HUGE leap of faith for me. To pay money for something I once considered hinky, crazy and New Age (that was a dirty word to me).

My wonderful writer friend Esther Karaline Calder took notes for me…6 pages of them. I am still processing it all, but it was right on and confirmation of all that the goddess has been working on me about already. Things like…

Taking my time…
Going naked into the future…
The masculine and feminine energy…

And especially being more feminine…Earth Mother…and not hiding my softer side either physically or emotionally. Just last weekend the goddess made me buy new make-up and start wearing it every day. And she is pushing for new, softer clothes as well.

Don’t get me started on her hardest lesson…being vulnerable. I’ll save that one for Sensual Saturday.
